                                                                                                                            Mariposa, the Butterfly Fairy travels to a crystal powered kingdom of  Fairytopia called Shimmervale. She discovers the enchanting Glow Waterfalls and becomes best friends with Catania – who is the Fairy Princess of Shimmervale. The two friends have to work together to safe Shimmervale, when an evil fairy by the name of Gwyllion plans to steal all the crystals in the kingdom.  Mariposa and the Fairy Princess is the 5th barbie movie in the Fairytopia Series, and the 25th barbie animated film.

It is currently in production, animated by Rainmaker Entertainment Inc.

 Expected Release Date: September 26, 2013

          Barbie: Mariposa & the Fairy Princess is an upcoming Barbie movie that will be released in September 2013. It will be the 25th Barbie movie.

               "Mariposa, the Butterfly Fairy travels to Shimmervale—a magical kingdom powered by crystals. There she discovers the enchanting Glow Waterfalls and makes best friends with Catania—the Fairy Princess. When an evil fairy tries to steal all of the crystals in Shimmervale, the two girls have to team up to save the kingdom and discover friendship overcomes any obstacle"
